School Fees
With our sponsorship program we try to build long-term relationships between the children and their sponsors, through a direct line of communication. We also stay in contact with the parents and the teachers to focus on the needs of the kids. These relationships are nurtured through hand-written letters and emails. We are providing the sponsors with all the information they need: like reports and information about the kids conditions. We sponsor around 30 kids in the schools of Luwero that were at-risk of being street-children. Through this program, the kids are now able to go to school and focus on their education, while the parents can focus on their work and supporting the children. We also empower our kids’ parents through workshops about parenting, domestic violence, and other important topics. Our hope is that these workshops will transform their home environment for the better. Furthermore, we organize an annual Christmas Party. Last year, the party was held at the Entebbe Zoo, and the kids went on a field trip to the airport. These experiences enrich their learning and aid in creating memories with them.
The sponsorship program contains a payment each term for the school fees, material needs, and medical support. The amount ranges between $15-$50 every third month. For more information please contact us, and we will provide you with more information. 10 of our children still need sponsors.
The Center
We would love to host volunteer groups that eager to aid in building the center and providing financial support. Once the center is built, our work will be even more effective. We will keep you updated. Check out here what we want to do with the Center!
Become a Volunteer
Please contact us if you would like to support the organization in Kampala, Uganda. We can arrange a place to stay for you in Luwero, and build connections with the teachers and the kids. There are many volunteer opportunities such as: building the house, supporting the schools, and assisting with the administrative work in the SOS offices.
