Christmas- Party and our Center (26.02. 2021): In December we made our Christmas- Party with all the children. In this difficult times it was a great way to be all together and enjoy ourselves. As well we continued to work on building the house.

Corona- Virus (11.05.2020): Check out our Instagram Page, where we sell Crafts to support the childern, especially during the Pandemie!

Corona Virus: Because of the Lockdown in Uganda, most families can not go to work and do not earn enough money to support the families. Luckily there are not many cases in Uganda, but the Lockdown brings up different problems like no possibilities to go to work. During this hard time we have been doing some fundraising to support the families. We have been able to give out food and soap to the children and their families so that they are at least able to cover basic needs for some time. The food and soap which we have been giving out lasts for about two weeks, therefore are we always looking for more donations to support them during the pandemic.

Corona-Virus (14.04.2020): The schools, restaurants and all other daily businesses has been under lockdown since few weeks in Uganda. It is not allowed to use public transport or to leave the house past 7pm. This restrictions may prevent the spreading of the virus, but is a serious crisis for the ugandan population. Many people lost their oppurtunities to work and thus have no possibilities to gain money for nutrion. On the other hand, the health system is not as stable as it could care for the whole ugandan population, therefore it is extremely important to avoid the spreading of the virus.
Due to this problems we are starting another Fundraising campaign to support the families in Luwero during this period, so that they can buy food and hygiene products, to avoid getting infected.

Corona- Virus (30.03.2020): Up to now, there are not many cases of the new Virus in Uganda. But the government stopped the people from working on the streets. Therefore, the many ugandan people will not be able to get money and buy food anymore. The crisis in Uganda will affect the whole population. We are trying to support the local families with buying food for them. The schools are already closed and we hope that the pandemic will not affect to many people for a long time.

Secondary School (February 2020)
We are happy to announce that the Children Gloria, Isaac, Haddijah and Joan started with their first year in Secondary School. We are really happy for them, especially because in Uganda the school-drop out rate is high and lots of kids stop schooling after primary school.

Christmas- Party (December 2019)
Before Chirstmas, Sam and other social workers took the kids, which are under the sponsorship programm, for a trip to the airport and the zoo in Entebbe. This event has been exciting for the kids of Luwero, because lots of them did not leave their hometown before.
They booked a bus to get to the Airport first. There they met someone who is working at the airport and he told the kids about the history and what the everyday life at an airport looks like.
After having lunch, the kids went to the zoo together to see wild animals, which are living in Uganda. This exciting day has been the Christmasparty SOS arranged for the Kids.
